    Characteristics : Endemic to the island of Menorca, this is the only species of our flora considered to be now extinct in its natural habitat, although some specimens are still conserved in botanical and even private gardens. Attempts to reintroduce it have systematically failed. It is a biannual species, which first develops a rosette of lanceolate basal leaves, up to 8 cm long, with whitish veins that stand out upon a green lamina. When the time comes to flower, it develops leaf-covered stems, which from the upper part forming small racemes of flowers which emerge from the leaf axils. Flowers in June.
