Habitats: Cultivated fields, path and road sides, disturbed zones. Pine wood and shrubland with rosemary and thyme garigue. Pine woodlands and garriques.
Characteristics: A small shrub with leaves and stems covered with a whitish pilosity. The leaves are opposite with a slightly lobed margin. The inflorescences are grouped in small glomerules and flowers are rose or purple. Flowers at the end of spring. Lives in garrigues, pinaries and abandoned fields, in contrast to other close species like Teucrium dunense, that lives on beaches and Teucrium cossonii, that lives in rock crevices in cliff faces.
