Characteristics: A Gramineae with underground stolons, the spikelets are directly attached to the stem, forming an elongated, more or less flattened spike. The entire plant is of a very characteristic pale green or light green in colour. Lives in herb lands, often in wet areas. Flowers in May and throughout summer.
