Characteristics: A small, annual cycle herbaceous plant that lives in the sandy soils of the littoral zone. In contrast to other species of Malcolmia in the Balearic Islands, the leaves of this species are much wider and have a large petiole; additionally, flowers are much larger as well, more than a centimeter in diameter. Like other species of the genus, forms long, rigid siliquenes, conserving the style in the upper part. Flowers from the end of winter until the beginning of summer.
