Characteristics: This is a woody based spurge, so it is perennial; it is always greatly branched adopting a rather rounded appearance, although it is possible to find small ones which do not adhere to this description. A feature which is usually quite reliable to identify it is the shape of the capsules: they are smooth with three well- marked cocci, often with reddish hues on some of the sides in. It lives along path-sides, in farmlands and similar habitats, but it can also appear in more natural ecosystems such as garrigues (Mediterranean woodland) and dunes.
