Characteristics: A woody ash-green coloured plant. Develops an erect main stem, which branches off, finishes in inflorescences of flowers yellow in colour that are generally ciliate. Differs from the subsp. chalepensis mainly by its lanceolate and narrow bracts. (The type species has ovoid and wider bracts.).
