Characteristics: The name of this spurge refers to the fact that the capsule has six well-developed wings, which allows it to be distinguished from other annual spurge species. Euphorbia peplus also has winged capsules but they are very small and very different to the Euphorbia pterococca ones. It is an annual plant living in dry garrigues (Mediterranean woodland).
