Characteristics: A frequent habitant o torrents and reservoirs, it is unmistakable when its white flowers emerge above the water's surface, it has two kinds of leaves, the submerged, completely divided into filiform segments, and others that float upon the surface and are lobed. There are many recognized subspecies (with consideration for independent species, depending on the authors considered). Flowers at the beginning of the spring to the beginning of the summer.
