Characteristics: In the Balearic Islands there are only two species of Reseda with yellow flowers, one is Reseda lutea, the other Reseda luteola. They can be distinguished because the former has divided leaves whereas the latter has whole leaves with awavy margin. Reseda lutea develops a very long inflorescence, up to one metre long, full of lemon-yellow flowers which make it visible from afar. It colonizes path-sides and flowerbeds, rarely farmlands. It flowers at the end of winter and during spring, but it is possible to find it in flower at any time of the year.
