Characteristics: A small Malvaceae that lives in disturbed zones and can be confused with other members of this family found in the same habitats. Can be identified by the size of its flowers, which are much smaller than Lavatera cretica, a flower similar in colour. However, Malva parviflora has even smaller flowers with the petals shorter than the sepals, and to the contrary of Malva nicaeensis, whose petals are clearly larger then the sepals.
