Characteristics: An annual plant with ascendant stems (up to 50 cm.), which distinguishes it from the rest of the buttercup species mainly by: leaves entire, ovate-lanceolate and petiolate; small yellow flowers (up to 11 cm. in diameter) with the floral peduncles opposite the leaves. The achenes (seeds) are ellipsoidal, dark brown in colour, with a thick margin and tuberculate side faces.
