Characteristics: This Gramene lives next to moist and coastal zones, usually in sandy soils. It is characterised by its leaves and pods, which are wide and hairy. The inflorescence is made of many small spikelets each of which are pedunculate, and it can reach up to 20 cm in length. The plant is rhizomatous, for this reason we will find this plant forming quite compact carpets. It flowers in summer and autumn.
