Habitats: Litoral marshes and riparian. Non-saline wetlands (intermittent watercourses, streams, artesian wells, ditches). Humid soils and marshes.
Characteristics: A slightly woody bush that lives close to wetlands. Forms large leafy branches, covered with trifoliolate leaves with large folioles, up to 2 cm in width, and two stipules with the same form as the folioles, but smaller. Flowers are white, small, less than a centimetre, and are grouped 20 to 40 en glomerules atop of a peduncle. Flowers at the end of spring and during summer.
