Characteristics: We can recognise this species because its flowers have a large purple petal (the standard), whereas the smaller, lateral petals (the wings) are bluish or whitish; moreover the stems are winged and the lower leaves are simple whereas the upper ones are divided into leaflets and have a tendril. It lives stuck to the branches of other plants in garrigues (Mediterranean woodland) in relatively dry, hot places. It flowers in spring.
