Characteristics: A small, annual cycle plant, it is frequent in terophitic plains. The yellowish-green leaves are flat and are broader towards the end; all of them are arranged on one plane. It can be confused with Bupleurum baldense, although Bupleurum semicompositum has short, linear umbel bracts, whereas the other has larger ones which stick out of the inflorescence radius.
