Branches out at the top of the plant and it is here that it develops it flowers, sepals very acute and longer than the petals, Can be told apart from Minuartia mediterranea as its floral peduncles are longer than the sepals, although there are intermediate versions which make it difficult to tell the differnce between both species, other suthors consider the two as subspecies of one single species.
