Characteristics: An annual plant that lacks hairs, and is well known for its mint aroma. The principal characteristics that differentiate this species from others of this genus are: acicular leaves without peduncle, serrate and with well marked nervation; the terminal inflorescence is spicifome with white flowers with large long stamens that project out of these flowers.
