Characteristics: A perennial grass with a thick downy covering. Leaves are cordat-ovate-auriculate; the upper leaves are cordate-auriculate at the base with angular auricles. The capitula with yellow flowers are small (1,5 cm. in diameter) and largely pendunculate. Differs from P. odora as this later species has very little tendency to branch, forms a leaf basal rosette and develops only few capitula, with a thickened peduncle on the upper half.
