Characteristics: An herbaceous plant covered with hairs, giving it a woolly appearance. A plant that looks a lot like the species of the genus Filago, but differs from these in that the flower receptacle does not have scales and the flowers do not have bracts. Leaves are sparse and the capitula are terminal and borne upon folious stems. All flowers are tubulous and without ligules. The achenes have pappus with rigid hairs. Can be told apart from the rest of the species of its genus as in its mature state it has its capitula in pedunculate, non-folious glomerules, and the inferior leaves semiamplecaule.
