Characteristics: A small plant with blue funnel shaped flowers. Leaves have an entire margin and are attenuated to the basal part, the upper leaves can embrace the stem at the insertion point. Can de differentiated from the characteristic subspecies as its flowers are smaller (7-10mm.)and the calyx as well as the capsule have very few hairs or none respectively.
