Characteristics: Atop the skeletal soils of the Pitiusses is where this plant can be found, with its slightly woody trunk and small succulent leaves with a rounded apex, covering all the stems in their entirety. This plant forms underground rhizomes, giving it a lawn-like appearance. Flowers are white, formed by five petals that open in the form of a star. Can be distinguished from Sedum dasyphyllum, as this one is pubescent while Sedum album does not have hairs. Sedum sediforme, for its part, is much larger and has much more acute leaves and yellow flowers. Other sedum species in the Balearic Islands are annuals.
