Characteristics: Papaver dubium looks a lot like Papaver rhoeas, but its flower is a more pale red and the pilosity of the stem is more pressed to this appendage, unlike that of Papaver rhoeas, which is rigid and upright. The flowering period for Papaver dubium is also earlier in the spring.
