Characteristics: Radish belongs to this species, but the wild varieties do not have the red, tuberous root. They are annual herbs which occupy cereal farmlands, they have four-petalled flowers, which is characteristic of all white or yellow Cruciferaceae. The fruit is the most distinguishing feature, because it is peanut-shaped, between one seed and another there is a strangulation of the fruit. In the subspecies landra the fruit has few seeds (1 to 4) the strangulations are not very marked and the fruit is quite broad (5 mm or more). It flowers from winter to spring.
