Characteristics: A very branched herb which grows along the ground, generally in trodden places. Like all the Filago the leaves are densely covered in hairs; which gives this herb a whitish colour. The capitula are gathered in several spherical glomerules. It can be found in spring. Filago pyramidata can coincide in the same places, but is generally an erect plant and does not form as many glomerules, but a reliable identification requires floral features and a classification key.
