Characteristics: Romulea columnae is a small bulbous plant with thin and compressed leaves, appears like it has just emerged from the ground to take a stretch. Flowers have six tepals, generally blue colour, although for the var. inmaculata are white with a yellow throat. This variety is a very early bloomer, and can begin to flower in Lives in the clearings of garrigues and pine forests.
