Habitats: Cultivated fields, path and road sides, disturbed zones. Pine wood and shrubland with rosemary and thyme garigue. Pine woodlands and shady garriques.

Characteristics: A species pertaining to the Orchidaceae, characterized by two only leaves, which are located above the stem, rounded in shape, almost without a petiole and hugging the stem. The flowers are small greenish and form an elongated inflorescence that when first emerged is slightly pendulate. In the Balearic Islands it can only be found in the Pitiusses.
