Habitats: Pinus sylvestris forest. Forest border. Mesophyll mountainous grasslands. Basic soils, in perennial grasslands, forest edges, and open woodlands, in moderately humid montane environments that receive substantial rainfall during the summer period.
Characteristics: Perennial orchid up to 30 cm tall, with slender, erect stems. Leaves are green and unspotted: the lower ones are broader and rounded; the upper ones are lanceolate, becoming progressively smaller toward the apex, where they resemble bracts. The inflorescence is cylindrical and loosely arranged, consisting of 5-25 flowers. Sepals are oval and, together with the linear petals, form a rounded, greenish-yellow hood in the upper part of the flower. The labellum is elongated, 2-3 times larger than the rest of the flower, with two lateral lobes and a small central lobe between them.
