Habitats: Pine wood and shrubland with rosemary and thyme garigue. Pine woodlands and garriques.
Characteristics: A small shrub that usually doesn´t surpass 20 cm in height, with ramifictions at th base, all branches are covered with lineal glaborous patent or reflexed leaflets with a physiognomy that is remenescent of an Erica in minature. Basically can be differentiated from the subspecies fontqueri by its external calyxal teeth are of a length similar to the tube.
Observations: A great deal of variation has been observed in this species. There are disconformities between the authors that have addressed this genus, and it is difficult to arrive at clear conclusions from the various described taxons.
