Characteristics : This tree colonises the dry river beds in Mallorca, and is considered sub spontaneous. It is characterised by its compound leaves, with long, dentate leaflets; the fruits are also very characteristic with a membranous wing (samara) and are grouped in hanging racemes. It flowers in January, before producing leaves.
Observations : És una espècie molt exigent a l´aigua i viu a marges de rius, peus de vessants, i fons de valls frescs, amb l´aigua freàtica pròxima a la superfície.
Status : Alien species.
Origen : Sud d´Europa, Nord-est d´Àfrica i Sud-oest d´Àsia.
