    Location on-campus UIB : Únic exemplar es troba situat a un lateral de l'edifici Mateu Orfila, en front del pinar plantat a l'entrada principal del Campus.

    Description : Trees can reach up to 15 m in height, with a dark bark that fissures with age. Young branches have a yellowish or reddish bark, very long and hanging, at times almost reaching the ground. Leaves are about 10 cm in length, alternate, linear or lanceolate, pointed or serrate, hairless at maturity. Petiole is 3-5 mm in length. Flowers are sessile or only slightly pedunculate, and are often borne before the leaves emerge.
