Characteristics : The almond tree always flowers before leaf growth; the flowers can be white or pink. Leaves are narrowly lanceolate. The fruit has a green and pubescent epidermis; upon opening, in the fall, it allows the interior portion to fall out, this part is lignified and within its husk it contains the seed, the almond. Flowering in January and February.
Observations : Els ametllers suporten bé la sequera i li perjudica l´excés d´aigua.
