Characteristics : The genus Urospermum is characterized by its involucre bracts: large and arranged in one solitary row. Species Urospermum picroides is clearly distinct from Urospermum dalechampii as it is an annual, not a perennial, and because it is covered with rigid hairs, leaving it rough to the touch, while Urospermum dalechampii has silky hairs. Additionally, the colour of the capitulum is orangey-yellow instead of lemon yellow.
