    Characteristics : This is a herb with postrate branches with small, triangular leaves. It forms spikes more or less at the upper part of the plant. It can be differentiated from other Amaranthus because of its small size, even though it is a perennial plant. Like all the species of its genus, it lives in very disturbed, even urban, terrains. It flowers in autumn. It is a plant introduced from South America.
