    Characteristics : A pubescent plant with whitish stems and intense blue flowers slightly curved downwards, swollen at the base. The calyx is whitish and with lanceolate teeth. This species is very similar in appearance to O. mutelii or O. ramosa; some authors consider it to be a subspecies of O. ramosa.

    Observations : Use of the detailed biography of this species is indispensable to be able to classify the different species of this genus.
