    Description : This tree can reach up to 40 m in height. The bark is at first grey upon formation and turns wrinkly and black with age. Leaves are deltoid, not rhomboid, or acuminate, with the base truncated or kind of heart shaped. The leaf margins are dentate and translucent, with short hairs along the outline and the inferior side. The petiole is a reddish colour with 1-2 glands joined at the lamina.
