    Characteristics : In the Balearic Islands, Lotus corniculatus can be found above all in wet fields, often near brackish waters, although it can also be found in drier pastures. Folioles are lanceolate and a true green in colour, with flowers golden yellow, these characters distinguish it from Lotus cytisoides, whose folioles are more greyish green and flowers more pale yellow in colour.
