Characteristics: An Umbelliferae with a woody trunk and erect stem (up to 100 cm.) and branched at the base. The leaves are almost all basal (the upper leaves are very reduced), very divided and pilous. Inflorescences in the form of terminal umbels, flowers are white and the petals are covered with hairs. The fruit is also pilous. Differs from P. tragium in the sense that its basal leaves are 2-3 pinnatisect while those of P. tragium are 1 pinnatisect.
