Characteristics: This variety is grouped with in the subspecies magonica and is characterized basically by its capitula which are largest (10-15 mm. in diameter) than the type variety and by the only slightly hairy bracts (more like glaborous) and the filal segments, which are relatively distant between another. Also, the isolated distribution of this variety leads to and unmistakeable identification.
