Characteristics: This plant can be found in dry places with shallow earth, usually on dry-stone walls. During most of winter and spring it can be seen as a small rosette of linear, fleshy, light green or pink leaves, at the end of the season it can turn reddish. It is an annual cycle plant, therefore it is very easy to pull out by the root. When it flowers it forms small pinkish flowers at the top of the plant. Due to the fact that it collects water in its tissues it can live a long time, and even flower, after being uprooted! It can coexist with Sedum caespitosum, which is much smaller and has more rounded leaves. It flowers at the end of spring.
