Description: A tree-like plant made up of a group of woody stems that can measure up to 5 m in height. The lamina can measure up to 2 m in length and 60 cm in width, oval to oblong in form, rounded at the base, at times is broken by the wind. Inflorescence axillaries are 3-5 large bracts, purple and 40-45 cm in length. Flowers can be up to 20 cm in diameter with the corolla white or slightly died blue-purple, and totally to partially enclosed within large bracts. The fruit is a capsule that can measure from 5-7 cm in length and is orange in colour.
