Characteristics: A plant that is very similar to a beet, although differs in the fact that its fruits are solitary and not united in groups. The stems are simple or with small secondary ramifications. The leaves are petiolated, fleshy, deltoid and with an undulate margin. The flowers go unnoticed, as they are very small; located on the branch axils, and green in colour.
