Characteristics: A small herb with filiform stalks, which grows along the ground and looks like a moss. The leaves are dark green, and very small. It can generally be found forming small mats of leaflets on earthen banks or directly on stones, always in damp, shady places. The flowers are white, growing on quite a long leaf stalk, and when it is in flower, they look like small stars on a background of dark leaves.
