Characteristics: A very spiny bush, with yellow flowers, which are produced in during the winter. In the Balearic Islands this species has only been found as of yet in the Pitiusses. Differs from Calicotome spinosa as this latter species has trifoliolate leaves, while Ulex parviflorus either does not have leaves or has simple very small ones. Can also be recognised by its calyx, which is divided into two pieces. Lives in garrigues and pine forests.
