Characteristics: On uncultivated, dry land we can find this Ranunculus with shiny bright orange (occasionally red) flowers. The fruits are grouped in a type of long spike, as happens for other Adonis, the leaves are greatly divided. It is easily differentiated from Adonis annua because of the colour of the flower, but the more precise characteristics are the ones related to the morphology of the fruits (a classification key is necessary). It flowers in spring.
