Characteristics: Asphodelus fistulosus has semi-cylindrical leaves which are empty on their insides, in contrast to Asphodelus aestivus which has much wider, compact, flat leaves. It lives in fields and garrigues (Mediterranean woodland) and flowers at the beginning of spring.
