Characteristics: Ranunculus is characterized by its bulbous base, at times with thickened roots. The leaves have three large lobes, with the central one petiolate. Flowers are large, up to 3.5 cm in diameter. Can be differentiated from Ranunculus sardous as it is much larger, the plant in general as well as the flower in particular.
