Characteristics: Either in the form of a bush or a small deciduous tree, with leaves finely serrated at the superior margin. Inflorescences with 2-10 flowers, white in colour, with elongated petals. The height of the plant and the lack of spines differentiate it from Prunus spinosa.
Observations: In the Balearics, this plant is only found in Mallorca, well localised to the cliff faces of the Serra de Tramuntana were they are well out of reach of herbivores.
