Characteristics: A herb living in sandy soils, generally in disturbed places on beaches. It has whitish green leaves with many lobules and a slightly fleshy consistency. When it is in flower it is very easily recognisable because it produces large, yellow, four-petalled flowers, with many stamens with yellow anthers. The fruit is a very long (up to 30 cm), horn-shaped capsule. It flowers during spring.
