Characteristics: A bush that does not usually grow over one metre and a half in height, greatly branched with extremely tortuous branches, and armed with spines. The leaves are fleshy, more or less lanceolate, ordinary sized and whitish green. It produces flowers that look like a kind of small trumpet, and are violet or lilac. It flowers from autumn to spring. It lives in rocky places along the coast, always in hot places due to the strong sunshine.
