Habitats: Cultivated fields, path and road sides, disturbed zones. Non-saline wetlands (intermittent watercourses, streams, artesian wells, ditches). Humid soils.
Characteristics: A perennial plant with ascending stems (up to 110 cm.) and trifoliate leaves with folioles 50 x 30 mm. Multifloral inflorescences of pink flowers with a hairy calyx with ten nerves. The inflorescences are set with an involucres formed by the stipule. The stipules are ovate-lanceolate and membranous with a terminal tail shaped appendix.
